We are committed to privacy for everyone who accesses our website, and under the Data Protection Act 1998 we must comply with requirements which are designed to ensure that any data you provide to us is processed with due care and attention.

What sort of data do we collect?

We collect personal data to help us recruit bar managers and bar staff to work at our bars across the UK. We also recruit volunteers through large UK national charities. Data consists of information including your name, address, e-mail address, work and education history plus statutory and other details linked to your eligibility to work. We also collect information in the aggregate to provide us with a better understanding of the users of our website as a group, their browsing patterns and preferences. This aggregate data does not contain personally identifiable information.

By using the Website and/or by registering your details with us, you consent to us collecting and processing sensitive personal data supplied by you in connection with our recruitment process.

Why do we need to share personal data?

Personal data may be exchanged with national charities for volunteer recruitment purposes and on occasion to statutory agencies following enquiries.

1.2  We may additionally collect information about how you access our services, including technical information such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet.

  1.  Information captured during visits to our websites

During the course of any visit to Bar Live Events website the pages you see, along with something called a cookie, are downloaded to your computer (see point 3 for more on this).
