Case Studies

Merchandise Production Build – British Grand Prix 2021

Working alongside the Grand Prix merchandise team, Bar Live EDS played a pivotal role as the UK partner in overseeing the build of 58 shop units at Silverstone GP. This was a complex show with 2 main deliverables; source contractors and oversee the event build. Firstly Bar Live EDS utilised our contacts to provide key contractors for marquees, flooring and signage. We confirmed specifications and budgets before confirming the build schedules and delivery information with the suppliers. Secondly, Bar Live EDS led on the site management of the build, overseeing the relationships with key stakeholders such as Silverstone and F1. We ensured that all locations had event sign off before the build commenced and established a build timeframe between the stakeholders. Bar Live EDS’s experience and knowledge enabled a successful build, completed on-time and within budget.

Aperol Spritz at Glastonbury Festival 2024

Bar Live EDS were tasked to oversee the delivery of an Aperol Spritz activation within Glastonbury’s exclusive “Interstage” area. As delivery lead, we agreed the brief parameters from the festival sponsorship team to ensure the activation was brand appropriate and then outlined these requirements with Aperol’s delivery partners. Bar Live EDS designed layout plans and sketches, confirmed operational requirements and negotiated this with the Interstage Production teams to ensure a successful and luxury event experience. Once onsite, we oversaw the delivery of the bar with the agency and festival’s market teams. Bar Live EDS secured sign-off from all stakeholders and ensured that the customer experience and journey was high-quality.

Bespoke garden for Jack Daniel’s bar

Bar Live EDS were asked to work alongside Jack Daniel’s marketing agency to assist with the operational build of an outdoor space at Glastonbury Festival. Bar Live EDS worked as negotiator between Festival and agency to confirm the parameters of the look and style, ensuring a proper balance between marketing objectives and festival scope. We then assisted with design and plans, drawing up possible locations and layouts and finally agreed the final designs with the Festival. Bar Live EDS then oversaw the build with the agency representative and Jack Daniel’s, ensuring a smooth delivery and build process. The Garden was successfully enjoyed by a number of festival-goers which overall grew the visibility of the brand at the Festival site whilst keeping within the Festival’s own goals.

Campsite production

As part of their on-going work at Glastonbury Festivals, Bar Live EDS oversee the build and operational management of a 1500 capacity campsite for volunteers and crew who work on a number of the bars as part of Avalon Bars & Events LTD. This is a fully managed, end to end operation and delivers across a four-week period, where Bar Live EDS take the campsite from an empty field to fully operational campsite with all services and then back to an empty field.

Our role covers numerous expertise. We oversee initial layout planning, CAD and décor designs and H&S procedures (Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments) which is then followed by the sourcing and booking of numerous suppliers such as tents, showers, security, toilets and gullying schedules. We also work closely with our catering contractor on the operational delivery of catering for all crew and volunteers, working alongside the caterer to plan the kitchen requirements to an agreed budget and visualise how this will come together in the field. During the event, Bar Live EDS install a campsite management team who oversee H&S, catering and essential services to ensure the positive wellbeing of all staff camping.
